Terms & Conditions
Version 2.0 – 16.09.2026
2. Scope
These Terms apply to every booking, appointment, course enrolment, and use of the Website. By booking an appointment, applying to the Academy, or using the Website, you accept these Terms. Deviations are only valid if agreed in writing.
If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
3. Website use
All content on the Website (text, photographs, videos, logo, design, course descriptions) is owned by us or used with permission and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute it without our written consent.
Photographs of clients and students are published with their consent. If you appear on the Website and wish to be removed, contact us and we will remove the image within a reasonable period.
The Website is provided "as is". We aim to keep information accurate but do not guarantee it is complete or error-free. Prices and course offerings may change without notice; the price confirmed at the time of booking or enrolment applies.
The Website links to third-party services (Treatwell, Google Maps, Instagram, TikTok). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
4. Appointments (hair services)
4.1 Booking
Appointments are booked through Treatwell (widget.treatwell.nl), by phone, or by email. Bookings via Treatwell are also subject to Treatwell's own terms and privacy policy. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation from us or from Treatwell.
4.2 Cancellation and rescheduling
Please cancel or reschedule at least [24 / 48] hours before your appointment.
Cancellations within that window, or not showing up, may be charged [50% / 100%] of the booked service price, or may result in a deposit being forfeited.
If we need to cancel, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date. No further compensation is owed.
4.3 Late arrival
If you arrive more than [15] minutes late, we may shorten the service to fit the remaining time or treat the appointment as a no-show. The full service price may still be charged.
4.4 Deposits
For long or high-value services (e.g. colour transformations, bridal, extensions) we may ask for a deposit of [amount / percentage]. Deposits are non-refundable for late cancellations or no-shows.
4.5 Prices and payment
Prices for hair services are in euros and include VAT unless stated otherwise. A price quoted online or by phone is an estimate; the final price depends on hair length, density, and the amount of product and time required. We will discuss any significant difference with you before starting. Payment is due at the end of the appointment by [cash / card / iDEAL / Treatwell prepayment].
4.6 Consultation and your responsibilities
You must inform us before the service about allergies, scalp conditions, skin sensitivities, medication, pregnancy, and any recent chemical treatments (colour, bleach, keratin, relaxers, henna) or home-dye use. We cannot be held responsible for results or reactions caused by information you did not share.
Colour services: we may require a patch (allergy) test at least 48 hours before a first colour service or after a long break. If you decline the test, you accept the associated risk.
Results depend on your hair's condition and history. We do our best to achieve the agreed result but cannot guarantee an exact outcome, especially for colour corrections, bleaching, or hair previously treated elsewhere.
4.7 Not satisfied?
If you are not happy with the result, tell us within [7] days of your appointment. We will assess the issue and, where reasonable, offer a complimentary adjustment. Refunds are at our discretion and are not given where the result matches what was agreed, where you changed your mind, or where the issue was caused by aftercare not being followed or by information you did not disclose.
4.8 Children and minors
Clients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for colour or chemical services.
5. Academy courses
5.1 Application and enrolment
Applications are made via the Website, email, or phone. After an intake / interview we will confirm whether you are accepted. A place is reserved only after you receive a written enrolment confirmation and any required deposit has been paid.
5.2 Prices and payment
Course prices are listed excluding VAT; VAT is added on the invoice at the applicable rate.
Payment terms: [full payment / deposit of X% at enrolment, remainder no later than X days before the start date]. Payment must be received before the course starts unless a payment plan has been agreed in writing.
Custom programmes (Salon Internship, Client-Centric Package) are priced individually and confirmed by written quotation.
5.3 Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you enrol as a consumer at a distance (online, email, or phone), you have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of enrolment without giving a reason (art. 6:230o Dutch Civil Code). To cancel, email us within that period. If you asked us to start the course within those 14 days and it has started, you owe a proportionate amount for the part already delivered. This right does not apply to businesses enrolling their staff.
5.4 Cancellation after the withdrawal period
More than [30] days before the start date: full refund minus an administration fee of [€ X].
[30–14] days before: [50%] of the course fee is due.
Less than [14] days before, or after the course has started: the full fee is due. No refund for missed days.
Where possible we will let you transfer to a later date of the same course once, subject to availability.
5.5 Cancellation or changes by us
We may cancel or reschedule a course due to insufficient enrolments, illness of the trainer, or circumstances beyond our control. You may then choose a new date or a full refund of fees paid. We are not liable for other costs (travel, accommodation, lost income).
5.6 During the course
You must attend the sessions and follow safety and hygiene instructions.
Practical work may take place on training heads and on real clients / models under supervision. You must handle clients professionally and respect their privacy.
We may remove a student who behaves inappropriately, endangers others, or breaches these Terms, without refund.
You are responsible for your own tools and belongings unless otherwise agreed.
5.7 Certification
A certificate of completion is issued when you have attended the required sessions and met the practical criteria set for that course. Our certificates are issued by the Academy itself and are not a government-accredited diploma unless expressly stated.
5.8 Course materials
All course materials, handouts, videos, and techniques taught remain our intellectual property. They are for your personal learning only and may not be copied, shared, sold, or used to teach others.
6. Photography and social media
We may photograph or film work done in the Studio and Academy for our portfolio, Website, and social media. We will always ask for your consent first, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Liability
We provide our services with professional care and skill. Our liability is limited to direct damage caused by an attributable failure on our part, and to the amount you paid for the service or course concerned (or, where applicable, the amount paid out by our liability insurance).
We are not liable for damage resulting from incorrect or incomplete information you provided, allergic reactions where a patch test was declined, aftercare instructions not being followed, or hair damage caused by previous treatments elsewhere.
We are not liable for loss of or damage to personal belongings in the Studio.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law
8. Complaints
Please raise any complaint with us directly by email as soon as possible, and in any case within 14 days. We will respond within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it together, you may submit the dispute to the competent court (see 10).
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The version published on the Website at the time of your booking or enrolment applies to that agreement.
10. Governing law
Dutch law applies to these Terms and all agreements with us. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the district of Oost-Brabant (Eindhoven), unless mandatory law provides otherwise. Consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
